Thursday, September 26, 2019 - 18:00

Join us on Thursday, September 26th from 6pm-10pm for Guelph’s 32nd Annual Take Back The Night!

The march and rally will take place from 6-8pm at Marianne’s Park, 176 Gordon Street, Guelph, N1G 1X1.

Take Back the Night is an annual March and Rally that provides a space for survivors to share their stories and to come together in unity against sexual and gender-based violence. This event is an opportunity for survivors, supporters, and community members to come together in solidarity to support and empower survivors and to increase awareness of gender-based violence, with the goal of eliminating gender-based violence and creating a safer community for all.

Femme Fest will take place from 8-10pm at the Red Papaya.

This concert will be a celebration and empowerment for those of those who are femme-identified, femme-loving, or looking to celebrate femme qualities. While sexual violence can impact persons of all genders, sexual violence affects persons who identify as women in much higher rates, which is why this concerns will be dedicated to those who are femme-identified, femme-loving, or looking to celebrate femme qualities. Performers will include spoken word artists, poets, musicians, bands, and others. This is a celebration that everyone in the community is welcome to attend and support.

Feel free to join for the entire event or join in at any point you feel comfortable. All are welcome!
