Practical Support

If you are a person living with HIV/AIDS or are concerned about someone who is, our services may be helpful to you. We believe that people living with HIV/AIDS deserve compassionate support and accurate information to assist them to make informed choices to managing their own health.

Counselling
The Support Services Program offers a safe, non-judgmental, caring and confidential environment for persons living with HIV/AIDS and for their families, friends, and partners. Our counselling service will offer a continuum of support services and we will assist you in assessing your needs.

Practical Support
We will do our best to ensure that you receive the service that best suits your needs. This may include our drive program to medical appointments, limited financial assistance, home and hospital visits and we may be able to help you to access medication and vitamins.

Complementary Therapy
Personal self-care is an important aspect of achieving balance and wellness. We are looking for other Complementary Therapies to enhance our programming so please visit this page often for updates.

Benefits Counseling and Advocacy
Filling out government forms can be an overwhelming task at times. Support Services will assist people living with HIV/AIDS in understanding and accessing benefits such as Trillium, ODSP, CPP, Ontario Works.

Support Groups
Support groups can often reduce feelings of isolation and are a great venue to meet other like-minded people. Specific support groups are offered in response to demand.Suggestions and ideas for groups are always welcome.

Treatment Information
Support Services will help facilitate access to current treatment, complimentary therapies, clinical trials and other related issues.

Referrals
To ensure that you will receive the best possible care, we will match individuals to the most appropriate community services.
