Mind Matters

1st Monday of the Month (For Months September-May) 5:30 PM — 7:00 PM

A group for people living with HIV that focuses on mental health issues.  This involves information, management, sharing experiences, support, and discussion surrounding mental health issues.  The topic changes every month ensuring there is relevant information for everyone. Topics of interest can always be suggested by peers, community members and other interested individuals.  Past topics have included depression and anxiety.

Art Therapy Group

A group for people living with HIV that focuses on different forms of art therapy.  This involves information, learning new ways to express oneself, sharing experiences, support, and discussion surrounding the medium of art chosen for that month.  The medium of art changes every month ensuring there is always something new to try out. Topics of interest can always be suggested by peers, community members and other interested individuals.  Past groups have engaged in knitting, and pottery.

ACB Men’s Group

3rd Saturday of the Month 1:00  PM – 3:00 PM

An informal support group for people living with HIV who self-identify as men from the African, Caribbean and/or Black community.

Peers in Motion

Last Tuesday of the Month 2:00 PM — 4:00 PM

A group for people living with HIV that focuses on physical activity.  This involves information, sharing experiences, exploring new ways to stay active, support, and discussion surrounding the physical activity chosen for that month.  The activity changes monthly ensuring there is something interesting for everyone.  This also allows individuals to be exposed to different activities they may have never experienced or always wanted to try.  Topics of interest can always be suggested by peers, community members and other interested individuals.  Past groups have engaged in rock climbing, walks, bowling, and an introduction to personal protection.  

Conversation Café

An informal support group for people living with HIV who self-identify as women.  Individuals engage in discussion and support surrounding topics that are relevant to them.  Group meetings may occur within the agency or at times take place in a local café. 

Social Hour 

Every Monday from 2-4 pm

A drop-in every Monday in the ARCH reception area for people living with HIV. Come and enjoy some snacks while connecting with new and old friends. Share stories, make plans, and have some fun.

 

Movie Nights 

Come out and enjoy a night watching a great new release on our new large screen LCD television. Join us for great food, a few laughs, a few tears, maybe a scare or two. Movie night is the last Tuesday of the month, starting at 6pm. Hope to see everyone there!
